To Become a Rock Hound You Must First Buy a Bag of Marbles. Every Time You Pick up a Rock, You Must Leave a Marble. When You Have Lost All of Your Marbles, You Know You Are a Rock hound!

I think I've collected "rocks" from the time I was a young'n...although when I was young, they were collected as more of a weapon than to collect.  Over years of rock hunting, I have learned so much from those who have been patient enough to teach me the the difference between "leaverite" (leave 'er right where you found it) and stones that can be turned into gorgeous jewelry.  If you have the time to take the jewelry tour below,  you'll see some examples of cut stones and an assortment of jewelry I've made.

Rock Hound's Bible

This Faded, tattered, stained, and much used book has been my bible of rock hunting since my sister gave it to me for Christmas in the early 1970's.
